SUMMARY: We are currently seeking an individual with strong leadership skills to step into the role of General Manager in our Stone Resources Division. This position will be accountable for achieving established corporate division goals, including division profitability, product quality and accuracy, staff productivity, scheduling efficiencies and the oversight of equipment and system performance and downtime. They will need to identify current and project the future state of the division. As well as identify growth opportunities; both financially and operationally.
OVERVIEW OF YOUR DAILY TASKS:
- Supervise the fabrication team; responsible for the hiring and terminations, create staffing schedules, facilitate team meetings, implement coaching and feedback to colleagues and subordinates, etc.
- Obtain and sustain comprehensive knowledge of the Company’s fabrication and manufacturing processes and machinery
- Develops working knowledge of continuous improvement, efficiency standards, and OSHA safety standards
- Assure process team: 100% adherence to all company SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures); no deviations.
- Communicate with leadership and other key departments regarding project status updates, address current and forecast future production concerns.
- Ownership of operations P&L including the composition/adherence to an operations budget and execute within the parameters of those goals.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE TO HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- High school Diploma/GED/College
- 2-3 years previous management experience in manufacturing/production/fabrication required
- 2-3 years Sales experience required
- Experience in Stone/granite industry required
